A wave of American Football arrived in London.




On last Saturday, National Football League Fans Rally was held at Trafalgar Square. Almost thousands of people gathered at here. As well Head coach and members from Tampa bay buccaneers and Chicago Bear gave a short interview for their fans.

Fans from Europe and America enjoyed the American Football event at London. Music, dance and performance from fans are filled with American style. “It makes me feel like at Florida, although the weather is not nice as Tampa”, an American fan said.

Soccer is the most popular sport in England, how American Football could against with it which is hard to answer, some fans said that if you want to feel the real American football, of course you should go to America.

“But NFL is trying to open European market, British have the best place, wembley stadium to host it and American fans are also easy to come here for travelling and seeing the match.”

On the square, a lot of families wear their favorite team’s uniform that drink beer and chat with other fans. Host also runs some interactive game that let people who are interested in American football to play. American football knowledge is being taught through playing those games.

Yet not everyone is coming for sport, some people expressed that they were coming for the show of cheerleaders. And some people just want to enjoy the event.

The security system of NFL Fans Rally is quite strict, everyone needs to check before entre the square, which also cause complain from fans. “We are coming here for celebrating our favorite sport but we have to queue quite a long time to entre.” It also makes people to think about London Olympic game, if the security system is better than it; nobody needs to worry at all.
