Air France Strike on Halloween Day


Workers at Airfrance strike since 29th due to dissatisfied with employment conditions. On 29th, 20% flights of domestic lines were canceled at Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

Airfrance workers chose Halloween day as their protest's  start. Since 29th october,  a five days strike is going on at Paris Airport. Airfrance states that it will be over at 2th November, and everything goes well from 2th November.

The most influenced airlines are domestic and short distance lines, Airfrance takes messures on only keeping flights which passengers are over 100 to take-off, other passengers need to be changed to other flights.

Airfrance informs all passengers who are planing to take flight during 29th to 2th should change the departure date to after the 2th. Passengers who have already bought tickets, airfrance will free to change flight date or cancel.

Government minister Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet says,"Air France is in a delicate position,"since she need get a plance to go Israel for a business trip.

November is the begining of holiday, also it is the traditional period for airplane's workers to fight for asking a better life. But for passengers, it brings troubles as well. Although airfrance states that they promise most lines will keep in normal, there are still 200 flights were canceled on 29th October base on the date from airfrance. Specila the long distance, such as new york,Miami,tokyo etc all could not take-off during these days.

Another major world airline, Australia's Qantas Airways also strike on these days which led to cancellation of 447 flights on this weekend. The protest in France will cause cancellation of 400 flights at the same period.
